Since 1967 the Calgary Transportation club has been providing an opportunity for individuals with an interest in transportation to meet on a regular basis and discuss all facets of the transportation of people and goods.
The Club promotes sociability and friendship amongst its members, helps to develop a better understanding of the various modes of transportation and inspires its members to realize the importance and dignity of the transportation profession.
We all use transportation each and every day whether we realize it or not. There is not a product that we purchase, touch, or consume that has not been a part of the transportation chain at some point in its lifecycle.
The Calgary Transportation Club meets approximately once a month throughout the calendar year. Included in these meetings are luncheons featuring a variety of industry related and public interest speakers, our Annual Silent Auction for charity, 2 Golf tournaments and some social gatherings. The meetings are a great place to come and enjoy the company of your industry colleagues, do some networking and gain some valuable information.
Membership in the CTC costs $50.00CAD for the year and is open to any person over the age of 18 who is employed in transportation or transportation services or is otherwise involved or interested in the transportation industry.
As an added benefit to membership, the CTC offers the annual Air Canada Attendance Award. Members who attend 4 scheduled meetings throughout the year (May to April, golf not included) receive one entry into the draw as well as additional entry for every meeting attended over four. The CTC draws for passes donated by Air Canada every year at the Annual General Meeting in May.
